Research.
Developing an effective evidence base provides organisations with a platform to work in ways that are more targeted and have increased potential to achieve the types of outcomes that the organisation is seeking.
We can support organisations to design the right type of research approach and methodology to suit their needs. We are also able to carry out research on behalf of organisations and work with them to use this evidence for ongoing strategy and design work.
Stakeholder research.
Stakeholder research can be particularly useful when designing or redesigning strategies, programmes and services that respond to the needs of specific population or user groups. It can also be useful for gathering intelligence from sector experts or partner organisations when designing long-term organisational strategy.
We have experience in designing and conducting various forms of stakeholder research - including interviews, focus groups, surveys and consultation hui/events. This includes experience with designing engagement tools and approaches that are appropriate to the needs of specific population groups, including, for example, young people.
Evidence reviews.
We are able to assist your organisation in gathering data from a range of different sources, to provide an evidence base that can inform the design of your organisation's strategy, services or programmes. This type of evidence work can include:
Reviews of literature and published resources to identify best practice - both within New Zealand and internationally.
Analysis of population-based data to identify priority needs, gaps or opportunities within a specific location and/or specific population groups.
Analysis of an organisation's own internal data to identify trends and gaps, and assess alignment with strategy. This is particularly useful for philanthropic organisations looking to map their grantmaking to local needs and/or strategic priorities.
